Mobility equipment installation, service, fault finding and repair courses.

Mobility Equipment Training Centre Ltd pride ourselves in teaching our students in all aspects of installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of mobility equipment , to the highest of standards.

All our courses are hands on and prepare you for a future in the mobility sector.

The training centre is situated in Britain’s ocean city Plymouth, and will be holding 6 courses per month:

1.stairlift installation, servicing, fault finding and repair,

2. Mobility scooter, power-chair and smaller mobility equipment servicing, fault finding and repair.

3. Ceiling hoist, servicing, fault finding and repair

4. P,A.T Portable Appliance Testing and LOLER Lifting equipment Testing

5. Surveying Curved stairlifts, through the floor and wheelchair lifts.

6. All the above courses together over 14 working days.

BACKGROUND

Mobility Equipment Training Centre Ltd, is the training company of Best Mobility Plymouth, who have been fitting, repairing and servicing stairlifts, hoists, through the floor lifts mobility scooters and power-chairs for over 18 years.

Steve Whitmore, owner of both companies, is a very experienced instructor with a military background. Apart from being a main battle tank commander, Steve had many instructor roles including 12 years teaching experience in signals and telecommunications.

Training school

We are now based in Plymouth, and after 3 years preparation and planning, in 2018 we opened Mobility equipment training school. Our target is to train people from all over the UK in all aspects the mobility industry This will give them the knowledge and skills to be employed or self employed in the mobility sector.

We have many contacts in the industry to help people into employment and will support people wanting to start their own business.

M.E.T.C. Ltd have trained over 100 people which have either started their own businesses,

gained employment or are already in the mobility business, using their newfound skills. Not to mention that we have an excellent support system 24/7 365 days a year, so we are always there.
